Developer Preview 0.3.0.dev2: This page documents the unchanged SDK 0.2.0 base contract. For the unified adapter, optional simulated motion and current installation commands, use the current quickstart and bundled docs. No real hardware or production integration is enabled.

Physical acceptance procedures (not executed)

All procedures below are BLOCKED_EXTERNAL until an authorized real target and approved test plan exist. No compatibility claim is made for any USB/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi device. Never convert a synthetic PASS into a hardware PASS. This is a procedure draft; numerical performance/safety limits must be agreed before testing. Record measurements even when no acceptance threshold has been approved; mark that outcome NOT_RUN or BLOCKED_EXTERNAL, not PASS.

Common setup and evidence

Record model/SKU, manufacturer, hardware revision, firmware hash/version, serial pseudonym (no personal serial data in public reports), OS/build/architecture, driver version/source, SDK/API version/license, transport/profile, negotiated codec/sample rate/channels/endian/pixel format, power/battery, permissions and exact test procedure revision. Hash logs and keep redacted evidence. Use synthetic audio/image targets and explicit operator consent; no bystanders. Approve safe playback volume before output. Record each attempt, start/end time, expected result, actual result, threshold, tester, evidence IDs, status and limitations. Do not sign or issue certificates.

Webcam/camera

  1. With camera permission denied, issue snapshot through the authorized host and verify no capture or late-frame release.
  2. Grant purpose/recipient-specific consent and OS permission. Observe privacy indicator. Capture a nonpersonal test card. Verify width/height/format, gray8 conversion and exact bytes at 1×1, 2×2 and the supported 64×64 bound. Unsupported formats/resolutions must reject or require explicit negotiated conversion; no silent assumption of native compatibility.
  3. Revoke permission while capture is pending; no late frame may be published. Unplug/disable the device; verify bounded failure, fresh epoch on reconnect and no replay. Repeat with another app holding the camera; record busy-device behavior.

Microphone

  1. Deny native permission/host consent; verify no open/capture. Grant exact consent and observe indicator.
  2. Feed a controlled synthetic reference from a test source. Measure actual rate/channels/PCM byte order, 80-sample block handling, clipping, latency and conversion at supported rates. Do not claim speech-recognition quality from tones or silence.
  3. Revoke/interrupt/unplug during sampling. Confirm no stale audio release, no unexpected recording and no automatic replay after reconnect. Record behavior with Bluetooth profile changes and another capture owner.

Speaker

  1. Use a safe agreed volume and selected output device; verify one responder and no output to a different recipient/device.
  2. Play a synthetic PCM test signal with approved rate/channel/endian handling. Observe actual audible output and measure latency/underruns separately from protocol acceptance.
  3. Cancel, unplug, switch device, lose link and contend with another app. Record whether remote stop is confirmed; unknown stop is not success. Do not replay ambiguous output.

USB

Test enumeration, authorized device selection, class/vendor driver requirements, power loss, disconnect during request, re-enumeration, driver failure and firmware change. Record exact VID/PID privately where appropriate. A USB connector does not prove USB Audio/Video Class support or the adapter protocol.

Bluetooth

Record classic/BLE, exact audio/control profiles, pairing permissions, codec negotiation and bidirectional audio behavior. Test range loss, reconnect, competing connections, sleep/wake and output-route switching. OS pairing is separate from AIContinue authority. Never change security/pairing settings without authorization. Do not infer full-duplex microphone/speaker behavior from a profile label.

Wi-Fi / vendor hardware

Use an authorized isolated test network and identified device/app/cloud endpoints. Test loss, latency, duplicate responses, recipient change, service unavailable and reconnect. Record TLS/authentication and firewall requirements without storing credentials. Do not send captures to cloud unless the precise data/recipient/purpose is authorized. Vendor API/SDK availability, terms, drivers, firmware and security review remain prerequisites; no external integration is implemented by this kit.

Completion

Review identity/authority, consent indicators, revocation, result freshness, single responder, bounded resource use, zero unauthorized retention and no implicit cloud fallback. Have independent security review evaluate malicious-code containment. Sign off each exact model/firmware/OS/transport combination only through the future approved process; other combinations remain unverified. Complete templates/physical-evidence.json. Production certification remains a separate owner-controlled decision.
